Mainly during the weekends the Kraftwerk (power station) Krummenau has a varied programme of concerts and parties.

A cultural center for the region was constructed in the company Geberit AG's old location.

An association was founded in Schönengrund on 23 June, 1992 under the name of Assel Kultur-Keller. The association has the task of organising cultural events and support cultural endeavours in the region.
