Nine cycling stages lead from the headwaters of the Rhine to the large Rhine harbours in Basel. Whoever prefers a less strenuous route can skip the first two sections and start cycling in Chur instead, which will still offer more than enough highlights. For example, there is the ride through the “Bündner Herrschaft” region with its lovely vineyards, the idyllic Rhine Dam, expansive Lake Constance with its graceful sailboats, peaceful orchards, ancient castles, St. Gallen’s charming Old Town and finally, the imposing factory halls of the pharmaceutical industry in Basel, right at the end of the tour.
